Video: Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure in Henrico, Virginia
The Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Grant Program provides funding to strategically deploy publicly accessible electric vehicle charging infrastructure and other alternative fueling infrastructure. Many in Virginia are proud of the progress made and celebrate the award and expansion of charging underway in Henrico County, VA. This program was created by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL).
Rally in Richmond
On April 3rd, 2025, Virginia Clean Cities (VCC) will honor Virginia’s green fleets and clean transportation leaders with a special event held at the Richmond Main Street Station. This event will feature speakers on alternative fuels and funding updates, showcase clean vehicles, and foster many conversations and connections in this energizing space.
Mid-Atlantic Electrification Partnership (MAEP)
This project is creating a regional electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem in Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland and West Virginia, connecting the Region’s cities, employing multiple EV and infrastructure sub-projects, including multimodal hubs, such as airports, seaports and logistics centers. It aims to address educational, planning and equity issues in local communities.
Kicked off in September 2020, the project will run through the end of 2024.
